With a population of just 300,000 Alicante is a major travel destination for many European tourists. Over the years this has injected a cosmopolitan feel to the city, while retaining much of its traditional culture.

 

Alicante City - It's hard to beat!

There are so many things to do in Alicante , many fantastic places to visit: museums, historical buildings, miles of beaches, nearby towns, night entertainment, etc. Not to mention the fantastic all year round weather

We would love to share with you, our own experience in the city and give you first hand information to have the most enjoyable stay.

Both the city and the beach are absolutely beautiful. The city itself has a very resort feel to it.

It has an amazing nightlife which starts in the downtown area around 10:30 and then moves to the water front around 3am.

Alicante has a decent number of shopping areas, and you can easily spend all day long walking the city centre shops or you can visit the popular Street Markets where you will find just about everything, antiques, fresh fruit and vegetable produce of their particular region, virtual florist and plant garden centres, etc.

Location
Our partner school in Alicante is located in one of the most emblematic areas of the city, the Paseo de la Explanada. The school is just a two minute walk from the beach, and very close to Rambla Méndez Nuñez, one of the main bus stops of Alicante. Set directly on a beautiful promenade, the school is located in a Mediterranean style building in the city center, and features 6 spacious classrooms, a computer lab with free Internet access, centralized air conditioning and heating, and views of the sea and harbour from the classrooms.

Courses
The school offers General Spanish courses ( 4 hours per day or 5 hours per day with an optional daily 1 hour cultural class) from 1 to 48 weeks in length.

TEACHERS
All of the school's teachers are specially trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and many hold a Masters or Doctorate in their area of specialization. They are seasoned experts in a variety of specific courses and topics such as Spanish Linguistics, History, Marketing and Tourism.

ACCOMMODATION
You can choose from a wide range of available accommodation in Alicante: from host families, to flats shared with other students, to accommodation in hotels or private apartments.

If you want to combine sun, sea, Mediterranean climate and folklore with your Spanish studies, Alicante is an excellent choice. Whether you want to relax in style and have a drink on the palm-lined esplanades or partake in the vibrant nightlife and university atmosphere, Alicante has something to offer for all tastes.

Groups are classified by level. So you will be placed in a group with students who share your same level of language proficiency. The groups consist of students of all ages and nationalities, We believe this produces a more interesting and educational environment.

Group courses Spanish
Classes are being put up by students level of Spanish. This way you will always be in a class with students which are of the same Spanish level as you are. Because of the small classes, the teacher can give individual support and classes are intensive. Besides the Spanish language, the countrie's culture is an integral part of classes. Classes are usually in the morning, but might be in the afternoon.

Group course + individual Spanish classes
Besides the group courses it’s possible to take individual classes a day. You have the benefit of deciding the subject-matter to be discussed during this individual hour is. For example, you may choose to have your Spanish instruction emphasize Spanish use in a business environment or in another area of your choosing like medical Spanish. In addition, you can also choose to dig a little bit deeper into grammar or work on your fluency in general. Because the individual classes are adjusted to your wishes and capacity, following this course make you learn Spanish faster. This course is recommended for anyone who wants to learn Spanish but have a limited amount of time.

D.E.L.E. examination course
In the D.E.L.E. examination course you are prepared to the Instituto Cervantes official D.E.L.E. exam. At the end of the course you can take part of the exam and if you passed, you will be handed the only internationally recognized certificate for the Spanish language. The exam is not included in the course price and should be requested more than one month in advance. For more information, please contact us.

One-to-o¡One course
one-to-one course For those seeking and even more intensive experience, we recommend our one-on-one course. In addition to individual classes you can extend your intensive 20 plus 5 to an intensive 20 plus 10. To provide our students with even more choices, we offer our intensive course in two student sessions, often called the one-on-two lesson. These lessons are only possible with an equal number of hours from Monday to Friday. Rates vary in accordance to program selected, so please contact us for a quote on your personal customized course series.

La Explanada it is located just next to the sea promenade and is a very nice place to walk,see the harbor and the beautiful buildings along the coastline.This is also a nice place to make a break and have a drink or an ice cream,you'll find a few bars along the park.Also you can buy here books and other stuff,in small stalls.So this is the perfect place to have a nice and relaxed break,with palm trees shadows!! This is the most known and visited place in Alicante. All people that come to Alicante make a stop here.Is the largest and most beautiful park in the city.
